SIF Inspector

Reference implementation of SIF 2.0

SIF Inspector performs deterministic second-pass structural inspection of governed metrology concepts and supported technical structures in an existing English-to-Ukrainian translation.

Metrology English → Ukrainian bounded structural inspection

Accepted input: one aligned English–Ukrainian segment, up to two short sentences; not an entire document.

Input contract

Two texts in, one structural result

An aligned source and existing translation enter structural inspection.
English sourceSource segment
Existing Ukrainian translationAlready-produced translation
Second passSIF Inspector

The Inspector receives an aligned English source and an already-produced Ukrainian translation. It does not generate the translation.

Current operational scope: one aligned short English–Ukrainian semantic segment, up to two sentences.

Inputs outside the aligned-segment contract are returned as INPUT OUTSIDE INSPECTION SCOPE.

Verification first. The submitted Ukrainian translation remains unchanged unless an explicitly authorised repair mode is used.

Inspection sequence

How inspection works

From aligned text to an inspectable result and next action.
  1. English source + existing Ukrainian translation
  2. Source-side detection
  3. Context qualification
  4. Two independent inspection surfaces
  5. Decision routing
  6. Visible evidence
  7. Operator action
Recorded Inspector evidence · CASE 07 / 08

From two existing texts to a bounded structural decision

CASE 07 is shown exactly as recorded in the frozen Inspector replay. This visual explanation is not a new or live execution.

One STRICT-mode segment: three canonical concepts and a separately recorded technical-structure status.

Aligned source and existing translation

1 · English source

In conformity assessment, the acceptance limit AU is compared with the tolerance limit TU.

2 · Existing Ukrainian translation

Під час оцінювання відповідності границя прийняття AU порівнюється з границею допуску TU.

Two independent inspection surfaces

3 · Governed concepts · CANONICAL

  • оцінювання відповідностіanch_conform_assess
  • границя прийняттяanch_accept_lim
  • границя допускуanch_tol_lim

4 · Technical structure

Recorded coverage: PRESENT

Recorded status: PRESERVED

This is the frozen replay's technical finding, not a new calculation.

5 · Recorded outcome: STRUCTURAL PASS — activated checks preserved

Recorded decision: PASS; reason: NO_REPAIR_NEEDED.

6 · Professional next action

No SIF repair is required for the inspected structural surface; continue normal professional review.

Limit: No whole-document, complete semantic-fidelity, independent expert-validation or universal numerical-error-detection claim follows from this recorded case.

Independent checks

Two independent inspection surfaces

Surface 01

Governed concepts

  1. Versioned Metrology Registry
  2. Activated controlled concept
  3. Expected canonical Ukrainian identity
  4. Occurrence / context comparison

Governed metrology concepts are checked against a frozen, versioned Registry.

Examples: measurement uncertainty, maximum permissible error, conformity assessment, decision rule.

Surface 02

Supported technical structures

Values units SI expressions formulas constants

Source structureTranslation structure

Supported technical structures are inspected independently through dedicated processing rules.

Result states

Three principal result states

Principal result state 01

STRUCTURAL PASS — activated checks preserved

The governed concepts and/or supported technical structures activated for this segment were preserved.

Operator action: No SIF correction is required for the checked surface. Continue normal professional review.

Boundary: PASS is scope-bounded. It is not certification of overall translation correctness, terminology completeness, scientific correctness or whole-document meaning.

Principal result state 02

STRUCTURAL REVIEW REQUIRED — activated check not preserved

At least one activated governed concept or supported technical structure was not preserved or cannot be safely resolved under the active contract.

Operator action: Read the evidence for the affected item. Review or correct it as appropriate and inspect again if useful.

The next action depends on whether a validated bounded repair is available in the active mode. Review-required cases do not all have the same resolution path.

Principal result state 03

NO ACTIVE STRUCTURAL CHECKS

No currently supported governed concept or technical structure was activated for the submitted segment.

Operator action: Continue normal professional review.

Boundary: No SIF claim is made for unactivated Registry or technical surfaces.

Recorded execution evidence

Public evidence replay

Explore eight recorded SIF Inspector cases: seven structural inspections and one input-gate refusal. Each case presents fixed English and Ukrainian inputs, the recorded decision, resulting text and substantive evidence digest.

The eight recorded cases cover preserved canonical concepts (01, 07), bounded repair (02), refusal to repair (03), a deliberately corrupted technical negative control (04), no activated checks (05), a protected unit (06), and an input-gate refusal (08). CASE 04 tests the missing 5.25 kg carrier, not the separate change of meaning. CASE 05 shows why no active structural checks is not translation-quality PASS. This remains a static recorded replay, not a live inspection service.

Permissions, not outcomes

Operating modes

Operating modes define what the Inspector is allowed to do. They are not result states.

VERIFY ONLY — DEFAULT

Internal canonical mode: STRICT

Inspect without modifying the submitted translation.

SAFE REPAIR

Internal canonical mode: SAFE_REPAIR

Apply only validated bounded deterministic repairs. Every change must remain visible and attributable.

DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS

Internal canonical mode: DIAGNOSTIC

Expose structural findings and candidate actions for analysis. Candidate actions are not approved repairs.

Conditional intervention

Bounded repair is conditional

SAFE_REPAIR is an operating mode, not a result state.

Structural mismatch detected

Is a validated runtime-authorised repair available?

YES — authorised repair available

  1. Visible bounded repair
  2. Re-inspection

NO — no authorised repair

  1. Translation unchanged
  2. Human review / professional action
Decision trace

The result shows why

  1. Decision
  2. What to do
  3. What changed
  4. Resulting / submitted translation
  5. Protected technical structures
  6. Structural evidence

For an activated governed concept, evidence may show the expected canonical form, submitted form and reason.

Evidence for supported technical structures is reported independently.

Governing specification

Versioned Metrology Registry

41controlled concepts

The current metrology implementation contains 41 controlled concepts with canonical Ukrainian forms and documented authority / provenance.

The Registry supplies governed concept identity to the Inspector. It is a bounded verification specification, not exhaustive terminology coverage.

Different objects: the Metrology Registry is the governing specification used by SIF Inspector. The Technical Evidence Register is the public research-evidence register on this website.

Bounded evidence

Engineering qualification

279tests reported passed
12/12reported final frozen gate
0reported regressions in the stated checks

These are recorded engineering-qualification results. The original 279-test execution logs and 12-gate records were not recovered for independent verification during the website evidence review. The eight-case public replay is a separate static evidence replay, not the qualification test archive. Professional-pilot evidence remains pending.

Professional pilot environment

The current professional pilot environment is invitation-only.

The live SIF Inspector operates separately from this public explanatory page.
